14-06-2026 Update

Dear customers and suppliers,

We are aware that some data has unfortunately been copied by unauthorised third parties. We are currently unable to say with certainty which specific information is among the affected data or which of our partners are impacted.

The following personal data may be affected by the breach:

  • Name, position and other information from email signatures
  • Contact details such as phone number, email and physical address
  • Email correspondence with us

What does this mean for you?
The breach may entail a risk of, among other things, fraudulent emails, text messages or phone calls in which someone impersonates us or one of our partners. There may also be a risk of attempted fraud, including fake payment requests, requests to change account details or other forms of social engineering.

We therefore recommend that you remain particularly vigilant in the coming period regarding communications that appear to come from us, especially if they relate to payments, changes to account details or requests to share information. If you receive such a communication, we recommend verifying its authenticity by phone through your usual contact person with us before responding.

We recommend that you:

  • Stay extra alert to emails, text messages or phone calls claiming to come from us or our partners (such as phishing emails), and do not click on links or share information if in doubt,
  • Contact us immediately on +45 7444 1236 if you receive suspicious communications or have questions about this notice, and
  • Inform relevant internal contacts within your organisation that fraudulent communications impersonating us may occur.

The breach has been reported to the Danish Data Protection Agency
Petersen Tegl A/S reported the breach on 4 May 2026 to Datatilsynet, the supervisory authority responsible for overseeing data protection legislation in Denmark.

We have also filed a police report regarding the breach.

Where can you get more information?
If you have any questions about the incident or this notice, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone at +45 7444 1236 or by email at info@petersen-tegl.dk

We very much regret any inconvenience you may experience in connection with this.

With kind regards
Petersen Tegl A/S

21-05-2026 update

Dear customers and suppliers of Petersen Tegl A/S and Petersen Benelux B.V.,

We would like to provide a brief update on the current situation.

We have still not been able to identify any evidence of a data breach. Our technical specialists have reviewed and monitored the situation, and no signs have been found that data has been leaked. Naturally, we will continue to monitor the situation closely as an additional precautionary measure.

At the same time, our systems are gradually being restored, and the most critical functions have either been re-established or are in the process of returning to normal operation. This means that we are once again gradually able to handle deliveries, order processing, invoices, payments, and other inquiries.

However, as we have had limited access to systems and data for a period of time, a backlog of tasks has accumulated. We are working diligently to address this as quickly and responsibly as possible.

We therefore ask for your understanding and a little extra patience if response times remain longer than usual, or if it takes slightly longer to process specific tasks and inquiries.

We apologize for any inconvenience the situation may have caused and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Kind regards,
Petersen Tegl A/S
